Exploration and Application of New York’s Medical Treatment Guidelines for Neck and Back Conditions.
The new fee schedule and RVU ground rules require understanding of how to document and code active care effectively. This course will focus on the injured workers by covering best practices for assessment and selection of active care approaches, documenting and recording active care parameters, ethics and coding procedures of active care, documentation of objective functional measures, documenting disability status, and recording return to work parameters. This course will follow the intent of the NYS WC Medical Treatment Guidelines which is to achieve improvement in the patients’ condition with early intervention including conservative care strategies combining manipulative therapy, modalities, and active care.
