DESCRIPTION
This one-hour webinar experience will introduce selected adjuncts to the chiropractic adjustment that will prove helpful for the practitioner managing the concussion and post-concussion patient. There is a myriad of non-pharmaceutical adjuncts that can potentially compliment the neuro-supportive aspects of the chiropractic adjustment. Those adjuncts most relevant to the concussion and post-concussion patient include nutritional support, exercise, and various lifestyle considerations. The presentation will begin with selected practical aspects of oxygenation and hydration, ATP synthesis, neurotransmitter physiology, white matter support, and modulation of the inflammatory response. Discussion will then turn to restoring balance, rehabilitating attention span, and neck strengthening.
