Advancements in the understanding of joint neurology and biomechanics have led to new clinical physical examination procedures to aid in the differential diagnosis and treatment of extremity joint pain and dysfunction. Citing this literature and the presenter’s own scientific research, this course will review the latest information on the topic of Neuromechanics as an underlying basis for best practices in the conservative management of this patient population. As technology has evolved, the chiropractic profession has seen instrument adjusting rise in popularity to be in use by most of the profession with some studies including those conducted by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners identifying instrument adjusting as the second most popular type of chiropractic treatment next to traditional manual spinal manipulation. This course aims to provide clinical training and hands-on experiences into examination and treatment of the extremities to include appropriate forces, frequencies, and dosage, together with force vectors, segmental contact points, combination adjustments, and outcomes assessment.
