DESCRIPTION
Chiropractors are commonly facing issues presented to them by treating more and more sport and dance related injuries. This highly specialized field will challenge the practitioner to bring a new and varied approach to that emerging segment of their patient population.
This course is designed to give the general practicing chiropractor a fundamental approach to rehabilitating an athlete or dancer once the injury has progressed from the acute stage of care. The information provided will be directed at returning the patient/athlete back to their respective endeavor. Emphasis will be placed on movement analysis, corrective exercise, building strength and prevention. A review of sports related injuries common to an anatomical region and the stages of healing will be presented.
The course is a dynamic interactive workshop with the registrants actively participating in the analysis and corrective exercises commonly used by specialists.
