DESCRIPTION
This one hour program will discuss, and the participants with learn, understand and be able to apply the concepts relating to the necessity, legality, and practical applications of documentation. We will discuss the purpose of documentation/recordkeeping along with a review of the some of the problems with documentation and medical records. We will also review the steps necessary to establish medical necessity for tests and procedure and will end with a brief discussion relating to risk management.
This lecture can be applied toward the 8 C.E. credits required for the NCMIC 5% discount.
