DESCRIPTION
The majority of our population is aging and with aging comes a whole lot of shaking. Some of these symptoms can be disease related, a result of medication side effects or just simply from unknown causes. Shockingly, there is an alarming rate of tremors noted in younger folks too, mostly due to stress and autoimmune disorders. Tremors can be as simple as a benign inconvenience to an indication of a serious prognosis. How can we diagnose and treat these often forgotten, overlooked and sometimes misdiagnosed symptoms? Many of our patients that walk into our office will be suffering with tremors (1 in every 5 people over age 60 have tremors). As alternative health care practitioners, we are the gatekeepers and are often known for our empathetic doctor- patient relationship. Therefore, it is important to be aware of these symptoms, the prognoses and treatment of tremors and the importance of recognizing this debilitating and often serious symptom.

In this two hour lecture we will explore the different types of tremors, differential diagnosis of these maladies, and possible treatment/ support.
