With respect to women’s health great disparities exist in the type and level of healthcare offerings in the US. Many women enter into the healthcare system early within the realm of reproductive health and its’ myriad specialties. However many women do not receive a high level of preventive care in other disciplines because many assume that their gynecologic healthcare providers are taking care of all of their needs. Women in the US are at a substantial risk of several chronic conditions that may rarely be addressed, if at all, during an annual gynecological exam. These conditions, if detected earlier, have a higher probability of mitigation or even nullification through proper screening, and interventions. The gap grows wider as the American population ages. The list of potential issues continues that should not be confined solely to those who have attained menopause and who may be cycling back on annual reproductive health checkups. Chiropractic care is touted as preventive care and is of extreme importance in addressing the existing gaps in women’s healthcare coverage.
